Obama, I'm disappointed in you.

I've been waiting. I've been thinking, "There's still some time for him to say something. He's biding his time." I've been believing him when he says there can only be one President at a time. Then he spoke out on the economy during the transition, and I believed him when he said, "Especially on foreign affairs, there can only be one President at a time." That makes sense. Sure, he spoke out against the terrorists in Mumbai, but that was more of an expression of sadness for those who lost their lives, as the terrorist action was relatively short. I could justify that. And there were so many others who were already speaking out against the atrocity better than I could.

Then Obama, while still President Elect, began speaking on foreign policy, letting it be known he'd negotiate with Hamas, and would be closing the Guantanamo Prison. Yet, still, nothing. Nothing from the man who ran on the principle that he's for justice, because his Lord is for justice. Nothing on the man who spoke of equality, and bringing righteousness back to American foreign policy.

So President Obama, I ask you, if you do not speak out when 1,000 people are murdered by a foreign power in only three weeks, when at least 50% and probably 70% of them are civilians, when the population of the area is 50% below the age of 15 and 75% of the population is below the age of 25, leading to a high percentage of those killed being children, when that population is refused the right to leave the small, concentrated area that's being bombed, so that we can not refer to this in any other way than to say it is localized ethnic cleansing- if you do not speak out now, Obama, then when? We now know you actually do speak out on foreign policy issues, even when you are still only the President-Designate. Where is your voice? What are you waiting for?

For if you wait too long you face the same situation that Martin Neimoller experienced:
In Germany they first came for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me -
and by that time no one was left to speak up.
How long will you wait, President Obama? For we are starting to get the sinking impression, that you are not actually waiting, but instead, will not bring the change we hope for- you will do the same as nearly every President before you, and support the actions of Israel, no matter what they do.

Or is there actually something Israel could do that you would disapprove of? Or will you surprise us all in your inauguration speech, and finally speak out against the apartheid and ethnic cleansing of Ghaza? Give me hope again, Obama.

Of course he will support Israel. The Palestinians have declared that Israel should not exist and that all Jews should be murdered. Hamas shoots rockets into Israeli territory daily. They murder innocents daily. Once a year Israel retaliates and they become the bad guys in the eyes of people like you. Meanwhile, Arabs that live in Israel have full rights as citizens, Jews living in Palestine do not. Did you know the PLO has killed more people in acts of international terrorism than any other group in Earth's history? Israel would happily live side-by-side in a two-state solution. The elected leaders of the Palestinians have said this is unacceptable.

There is a reason why basically the entire free world backs Israel. The people who champion the Palestinian cause are regional dictators who keep their population poor and oppressed, and only adopt the Palestinian "cause" as a way to distract from their own misrule.

But people with no understanding of anything, like you, blame Israel, a UN-created state that the Palestinians don't believe should exist (and a state that has been attacked by her neighbors in a number of wars).

Also, it's "inauguration" and "Gaza."

And your other posts fellating Obama are embarrassing to read, by the way.

LOL! Oh my, what an incredibly anti-Semitic, racist, rather stupid post! I so rarely get these! Thank you!

Let's just break it down- not for you, but for all the people who read this, to understand the depths of your non-understanding:

1) The Palestinians have never declared that Israel should not exist and all Jews should be murdered. Some have, namely Hamas today, and the PLO in the past- but only the first part, and not "all Jews be murdered". Of course, Israel now considers the PLO no longer a terrorist organization. (Perhaps you know something they don't?) And of course, some of those protesting in support of the Israeli invasion of Ghaza held signs saying to kill all the Palestinians. According to your logic I suppose you now believe all Israelis want to kill all Palestinians.

2) The murder innocents daily. I think you mean the Israelis. The Palestinians don't murder innocents daily- more weekly. Watch the news for the last few weeks.

3) Once a year Israel retaliates. If you mean, they save up to kill 10:1 once a year, you are right.

4) Arabs in Israel have full rights. Except when they don't. Hence 2 out of the 3 Arab parties being banned, and their regular complaints of discrimination.

5) Did you know your facts are made up? Unless you plan to exclude state-sponsored terrorism?

6) After al Nakba, Israel would have happily lived in a two state solution- provided they took Jerusalem and all the good land. And then if they completely demolished the possibility of viable state by dividing up that Palestinian state into small chunks. Such that today, a two-state solution would never be workable.

7) The entire free world backs Palestine. Except the US. Try to keep up.

8) The peoples of the Middle East are generally the biggest supporters of Palestine. The leaders in the Middle East tend to be far more tepid, as they fear the US and Israel.

9) I think you refer to Israel, the UN-created-state-provided-Palestine-was-created-at-the-same-time. Please. If we're going to go UN mandate, than Israel doesn't even exist without a fully independent Palestine! Thank God we don't depend on the UN for the validation of Israel.

10) Sorry to beat a dead horse, but you don't hear anything the 100th time. Hamas doesn't think the Israel should exist. The PLO and the Palestinians disagree with Hamas- in other words, about 95% of Palestinians.

11) Finally, a salient point! Yes, I spelled "inauguration" wrong. Thank you for pointing that error out.

12) Ignorance is not knowing something. Stupidity is acting like you do when you don't. The correct spelling is "Ghaza". Look up the Arabic and figure it out. It's a bloody Arabic word.

13) Yes, I can see how it would be embarrassing to someone devoted to a racist agenda. Perhaps you could repost part of what I said out of context on your own blog, and then make snarky comments about it?

Live with the daily fear that someone with bomb straped to them will get on the bus you ride, or the store you shop. Live with that fear daily! Then well see how self rightous you feel then!

Dear Friend,

Fear is an emotion that you feel. While certainly bombings are possible in the area that I live in, and have occurred in the past, I do not choose to dwell in that. I am not in America with it's constant message of "Be Afraid- Be Very Afraid" on the Nightly News. I am sorry that they have to experience that mantra there. So I counsel you, and encourage you, to seek freedom, not from people, but from the Fear that binds you. In the faith that I follow, our holy text states that it is not hate that is the opposite of love, but fear. Fear is the Mind Killer (to borrow from another famous holy text). Be Free. There will be no need for self-rightousness then. There will be no need for anything but Love.
